Thoughts on my first day..

Yesterday was my first day of apprenticeship. I am so glad I got posted to this place. It is warm, casual and friendly. The first 3 hours were slightly awkward for me, because I was shy and unsure of my boss and colleagues. But they were really nice and tried to teach as much as they can while doing their work.

Like I said previously, I hope to be able to help as much as I can. Which was why I stayed back an extra 3 hours to help them out with cake orders that needed to be out today. Partly was because I felt quite bad if I were to leave while they still had unfinished things to do.

My boss is easy-going and funny, while Nurin, my other colleague is very friendly and chatty. The both of them together is funny to watch too, because they argue all the time, but are able to work together seamlessly when the time comes.

Today will be the 2nd day. Hope I will be able to still look forward to working 6 months down the road. Haha!

Have a great week people... The weekend is here soon~!

No time...

So many things I want to do, but too lazy and not enough time to do.. It's been a long time since I updated, and nothing much has changed. Other than the fact my 1st term is about to end and after the break is over, it's time to be at the workplace.

I went for interview @ my new apprenticeship site, and I love it. I know it's gonna be hard work, and I will give my 200%. I hope I get to learn and be useful to my boss, who happens to be an alumni of my school. I'm feeling a bit pressured because he cannot fail, he has to make sure his business is successful and I am gonna be helping him.

1 good thing about being assigned to that place, is that they do customised cakes, which I am very interested in. They also operate like a cafe, which I have some experience in, from making coffee to serving customers. So I think I can be a great help to them.

On other stuffs, I will miss school once I start my term 2. I will miss my classmates more, actually. Haha.. The seniors always say to enjoy our 'honeymoon' in school, because when we go out for our apprenticeships, it's gonna be a bumpy ride for you to get used to. I am getting used to a life of hard work. I make sure I am more proactive in class, and be more initiative.

But as good as I can be, I find myself being more lazy at home, when it comes to doing the housework. Haha.. When I get a chance to be home, I will stay in bed all day and be a slug. Which is bad, in some ways, especially when I wanna be extremely productive, like doing my assignments, making more baked goods at home for practise and keeping up with friends.

I've also learned to be grateful for the little things in life that make me happy. Like the smell of my hammies' clean bedding (I know it's weird, but it's a nice woody, grassy smell), the smell of something baking in the oven, the smell of rain after a hot day and the smell of my house when I get home from a bad day. This little things help me feel more positive, when tiredness and bad days bring me down. I am trying to be more positive now, as I know my attitude will help me in keeping my passion alight for the next 10 years to come.

That's about me for now. Till I post again.

Everyone take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

Think happy and positve thoughts, and be grateful for what you have, instead of being negative for what you don't have.

Peace, Inky~!
