The Green Eyed..

Monster has struck yet again. I've been looking through some of my ex-schoolmates pictures on their blogs and I'm feeling extremely jealous of them.

Both of them are studying for their degree in Brisbane. They are doing exactly what I wish I was doing (studying..) and at the place where I want to be right now (Australia). Frankly speaking, I can honestly say I am truly disappointed with myself right now. I'm unsatisfied with my life, my job and myself.

My life because I feel like I'm just wasting my youth away. I'm 22 this year, and what do I have to show for myself? Nothing. I have no aspirations, nothing that I can accomplish while I'm stuck here serving my end of the tuition grant the government offered me. While everyone around me is doing exactly what they want to be doing.

My job because it has no future what-so-ever, and it gives no satisfaction because being in the service line in Singapore, SUCKS. Everyone treats you like shit and just because they are the customers, they think they should be treated like royalty, be given extra privileges over everyone else., as though they are human beings, and other people are not. I swear, you'll meet the worst kinds of people in the service industry, especially when they are sick or pretend to be sick. You'll get the snobbish asses, the stingy money-pinchers and the type who always comes for little illnesses just because their company pays for their medical bills.

Also the fact I seem to be more alone now because I dun hang out with people my own age much. I miss having a huge bunch of friends to hang out with (even though I have never had 'real' friends when I was growing up). I just miss hanging with people my own age, especially when I'm at work. Where I work, you'll see middle-aged people and really old people too. And my colleagues are all females who are all older than me by a LOT and have had KIDS. How do you communicate like that? HUGE GENERATION GAP~!

Lastly, I'm totally disgusted with myself because I am lazy and fat. I have been wanting to lose some weight over the week, and I always find some lame excuse to not do it. What is up with me! I'm 22 but I feel like I am 50! I have constant backaches, I'm putting on weight like a monster, and I feel tired everyday even though I dun do much.

I FEEL SO GROSS!!!!!!! RAWR!!!!!!!!!!!

--------------

Sigh, ok.. Rant over. I think I'm gonna crawl into bed now. Have a great week. Hope it's better than mine.

P.S. I need a makeover in my life. Can someone tell me how? Thanks.

I'm still..

so hung up on Step Up 2. It's an awesome movie. And the soundtrack is awesome! Every song makes you want to dance. =P

This is extended trailer with some behind the scenes footage.

-----

Push - Enrique Iglesias feat Lil' Wayne

This song is kinda hot, but the video is alright. Kinda weird especially the part when Enrique was recording the 2 main characters having fun. But the song is hot. =) Makes you want to 'push push, back up on it..' =P

-----

Ching A Ling Ling/Shake Your Pom Pom - Missy Elliot

This song is kinda catchy and the dancers here are all really awesome. =)

-----

Low - Flo Rida feat T-Pain

Awesome song to dance to at a club.

-----

Btw, my fave dancer is Moose from the movie. He is soooooooooo awesome and he's only 15!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the videos I linked and go watch the movie if you haven't already! I'm so gonna get the DVD when it comes out!

Oh well..

Since I haven't been blogging at all and also the fact I can't sleep, I might as well blog about Mr Y's trip this time around.

We did not take much pictures, but we did a lot of walking, shopping and non-stop eating for The Man. We also met up with Dennis and wife, and Norvin (Karui) again this trip for some drinking and dancing. LoL..

Anyways, we ate heaps, and shopped for work suits/pants/vests/pullovers for The Man. I did not buy anything much (a new perfume set, Covet by Sarah Jessica Parker, and a new pair of Converse), but I did get a belated V-day/Birthday present from him. =)

I did take some pictures of some random stuffs. I'll just post them up with captions.

-----

The awesome Ramen at this Japanese restaurant Dennis and Anna brought us to. I am so going back there again. Their gyozas are really good too!

Taken at Butter Factory on a quiet night out. Hee.. Love the deco of the place and they play pretty awesome RnB/HipHop music. Will definitely be going back there again.

Mr Y. Haha..

And this is a 'Final Destination' shot of him. Is it creepy or what?

Pictures of the 2 crab dishes when we went out with my family for seafood dinner. I miss the White Pepper crabs, so we had it along with Chili crabs. We were so stuffed after that, we almost did not finish the crabs!

Thats about the trip. We did not do much really, just lots of catching up and spending time together, watching movies and just random couple stuffs. =) Sigh.. I miss him so much already. I might start losing some weight and going back to improving my well-being. I might have something up my sleeve for the next month, who knows. =P

Hope you guys have a great week ahead. I'll be here moping because he's not around to spend time with me.

P.S. Tiff, I heard from Davo that Steve and you will be stopping over in HK and KL when you come around. Just wondering if Singapore is on the list, cause if it is, Mat might be flying down too which means I'll get to see him soon again. Dennis and Anna are really interested to meet you guys too. *evil chuckle* The crabs are also here waiting for you to come. That aside, I really hope you will come down, even if it's for a few days. Hope to hear from you soon, since I dun have ur MSN and someone is always conveniently AFK on his.

She Said, I said

Strangely, this songs makes me want to cry. =(

It's a nice, catchy but sad song.

-----

Lyrics:
Don't no where to start
Something ain't going right
Feel it in my soul as I try (oh baby)
Try to keep you satisfied
Please don’t cry
I just think we both need time

I just feel that we are in the same room
But living two worlds apart
And it’s causing too much pain mhmm
(She said) Baby can you please just stay
It ain’t too late to work this thing out
(I said) Girl this aint easy for me at least the truth is coming out
(She said) Why can’t we make up like the last time?
I’m just afraid to hear you say go
(I said) Baby I’m sorry I think its time we let go

Baby don’t leave don’t leave don't leave
Tell me you stay and you stay and you stay
(I Gotta leave gotta leave gotta leave because)
I think its time we let go

See these tear drops falling from you eyes (from your eyes)
That don’t change my mind (minddddd) oh baby (oh whoa whoa whoa)
Please don’t make things more difficult than they gotta be
I can’t take no more (more)
This is killing me

Every time I look at you I see more reason for me to leave you
And its causing me too much pain yea
(She said) (She said!) Baby can you please just stay (stay)
It ain’t too late to work this thing out
(I said) Girl this aint easy for me at least the truth is coming out
(She said) Why can’t we make up like the last time?
I’m just afraid to hear you say go (say go!)
(I said) Baby I’m sorry(oh!) I think its time we let go (time we let go)

Baby don’t leave don’t leave (don't leave) (baby don't leave)
Tell me you’ll stay and you stay (oh) and you stay (I gotta leave) (Gotta leave)
(Gotta leave gotta leave gotta leave because)
I think its time we let go x’s 2

Time that we let go
Baby can you please just stay
It ain’t too late to work this thing out
(I said) Girl this isn’t easy for me at least the truth is coming out
(She said) Why can’t we make up like the last time?
I’m just afraid to hear you say go
(I said) Baby I’m sorry I think its time we let go

Baby don’t leave don’t leave
Tell me you’ll stay and you stay and you stay

Cyanide & Happiness @ Explosm.net

Yay~!

Last week has been FUN~! The family went out to celebrate my parents' anniversary~! It was their 24 years together. =) So happy for them. I think Mikey and me are really lucky to have parents who are still together, are still happy and in love with each other in this time and age whereby divorce is so common. And because of this upbringing, I want to have what my parents have and find the right guy whom I will stay with forever until death do us part. Oh well, I guess I'll know when that guy shows up, won't I? *winkz*

Anyways... We went out on Thursday last week because Dad had something he needed to do on the actual day itself. So we celebrated the day after. At first, I was like:' Mom, you should just be going out with Dad! Why would you want me and Mikey tagging along.' I found out that night. It was because we could order more food to share and boy, did we have a seafood feast! We had prawns, pipis, mussels, oysters, fish and crabs! Let the pictures of the food tell us how the night was!

Drunken Prawns~! (directly translated) It was really yum with the chinese herbs and fresh prawns and of course, the alcohol in it! Yum~!

Sambal Mussels. The sauce was absolutely delish! Hot and spicy!! Me like...

Pipis fried with Ginger and Garlic. It was alright, very light. =)

Steamed Pa-Tin! Nice and fresh. I like fish!

Finale for the night. =) Chilli Crabs! It was really yum, the sauce was so awesome. I was dipping my fried 'mantou' with my fingers into the sauce. Hot, spicy and really thick sauce. You could just eat it with rice and nothing else. And also the crabs were meaty and fresh. The crab meat were practically falling apart. Haha..
*This picture is sorta to entice a certain Miss T to come over to Singapore~! *

-----

I made Korean BBQ meats for Sunday. I got the recipes off this Korean blogger, The Kitchen Wench, who shares her recipes with everyone. And the recipes were very identical to the Korean BBQ meats I had when I was in Sydney! So now I dun have to wait till I'm over in Australia to have Korean food! I took some pictures, but they were fuzzy, so I'm not going to post them. Also the fact that blogger is acting up and won't allow me to load more than 1 picture at a time is driving me nuts. I just spent almost 30 mins trying to load those few pictures.
I would be making more Korean dishes using her recipes.

So thats all the updates for me. I'm off to bed. =) Have a great week everyone. I hope this week passes asap. Someone is gonna be here next week! YAYS!

Ok..

So I've been a little tardy on blog posting. I promise I will do it soon. Meanwhile, the 2 songs stuck in my head, enjoy them!

Happy Working Song

Lyrics:
Come my little friends as we all sing a happy little working song
Merry little voices clear and strong
Come and roll your sleeves up - so to speak - and pitch in
Cleaning crud up in the kitchen as we sing along
Trill a cheery tune in the tub as we scrub a stubborn mildew stain
Pluck a hairball from the shower drain to that gay refrain of a happy working song
We'll keep singing without fail - otherwise we'd spoil it
Hosing down the garbage pail and scrubbing up the toilet - ooh!
How we enjoy letting loose with a little "la da dum dum dum!
While we're emptying the vacuum up it's such fun to hum a happy working song - ooh! -
A happy working song
Oh how strange a place to be
'till Edward comes for me, my heart is sighing
Still, as long as I am here I guess a new experience could be worth trying
Hey! Keep drying!
You can do a lot when you've got such a happy working tune to hum
While you're sponging up the soapy scum
We adore each filthy chore that we determine
So friends, even though you're vermin, we're all happy working throng
Singing as we fetch the detergent box for the smelly shirts and the stinky socks
Sing along
If you can not sing then hum along
As we're finishing our happy working song!

That's How You Know

Lyrics:
(A Capella, Giselle)
How does she know you love her?
How does she know she's yours?
(Marlon Saunders - Calypso Singer)
How does she know that you love her?
(Giselle)
How do you show her you love her?
(Together)
How does she know that you really
really
Truly love her?
How does she know that you love her?
How do you show that you love her?
How does she know that you really really truly love her?
(Giselle)
It's not enough to take the one you love for granted
You must remind her or she'll be inclined to say
"How do I know he loves me?
How do I know he's mine?"

Well does he leave a little note to tell you you are on his mind?
Send you yellow flowers when the sky is grey?
He'll find a new way to show you a little bit every day
That's how you know
That's how you know he's your love

(Calypso Singer)
You got to show her you need her
Don't treat her like a mind reader
Each little something to lead her to believe you love her

(Giselle)
Everybody wants to live happily ever after
Everybody wants to know their true love is true
How do you know he loves you?
How do you know he's yours?

Well does he take you out dancing just so he can hold you close?
Dedicate a song with words meant just for you?
He'll find his own way to tell you with the little things he'll do
That's how you know
That's how you know he's your love
He's your love

That's how you he loves you
That's how you know it's true

Because he'll wear your favorite color just so he can match your eyes
Plan a private picnic by the fire's glow
His heart will be yours forever
Something everday will show
That's how you know (x5)
That's how you know he's your love
That's how you know
That's how you know he's your love

So Close..

I first heard this song while I was watching the Academy Awards show for this year. Because I haven't been watching any movies after I came back from my Australia trip, I didn't know where it was from. But I really wanna catch this movie, so I'm definitely gonna get it when it's out on DVD. =)

So Close - Jon Mclaughlin

Lyrics:

You're in my arms
And all the world is gone
The music playing on
For only two
So close togehter

And when I'm with you
So close to feeling alive

A life goes by
Romantic dreams must die
So I bid mine goodbye
And never knew
So close was waiting
Waiting here with you
And now, forever, I know
All that I want is to hold you
So close

So close to reaching
That famous happy and
Almost believing
This one's not pretend
Now you're beside me
And look how far we've come
So far
We are
So close...

Oh, how could I face the faceless days
If I should lose you now?

We're so close to reaching
That famous hapyp end
Almost believing
This one's not pretend
Let's go on dreaming
Though we know we are
So close
So close, and still
So far...

Seroiusly..

What's up with beetles coming into my room to freaking terrorize me! I found 2 big golden ones in my room last night which freaking made me screech and jump all over the room, and 1 black one lying on my very comfortable big pink bed!! Eeks~!

Anyways, enough about them beetles, since I destroyed all 3 of em. =) Before you think that I tortured them, I'll just tell you how I got rid of them. I wrapped them up nicely in a piece of tissue (because I cannot standing holding them with my bare hands) and then throw them outta the window. Nice, easy and clean. =P

Ok, so here's the update I promised last week.

So 2 weeks ago, I went out to town with my brother to go down to town to so some shopping. We went down to have lunch first, since it was busy at work before and I did not have time for brekkie. We were deciding what to eat when Mikey remembered that a new Carl's Junior outlet has been opened at Far East Plaza, and because I have never had it, we went for it. The burgers were HUGE! I had half a burger and I was stuffed.

The trademark star. I love the idea of a napkin dispenser, and the bottles of salt and pepper on the table.

This was how big the burgers were. Mikey had a Western Bacon Cheeseburger, while I had the Portobello Mushroom Burger. We had Iced-Tea and Beef Chilli Cheese Fries.

Amazingly enough, Mikey finished everything of his, even my half eaten burger! We couldn't finish the fries though, so we just picked at the cheese and beef. =P

After lunch, we went down to Borders where I wanted to go get the new Jamie Oliver's recipe book, Jamie at Home. I actually asked a certain Mr Y to help me get it in Sydney, because they were having a sale at that time. But he, being one of the typical male species, did not get it done until a month later, when the sale was over and the price has gone back up. Le sigh.. So I went down the next day after he checked, to go get my book because I know Borders was having a sale here in Singapore. Like they say, when you want to get things done, it's always better to do it yourself! Went down and got the book and 3 other books. 2 for Mikey and 1 for me. =)

Did a bit of window shopping after, and in the course of window-shopping, I got myself a new CD. Then made my way home feeling exhausted and worn out. =)

The things I got. Sam Lee's 2nd album, Jamie at home recipe book and the novel, Marley and Me. (I highly recommend Marley and Me to all dog-lovers, pet-lovers and people who likes to read. A very readable, highly humorous and tremendously touching story.)

-----

Nothing happened last week. Was just a normal work week, but I did went out on Friday with my bro and his friends. Boy, was that a HUGE mistake. It was like going out with 3 of Mikey! They were talking about Wow, cracking Wow jokes and being very very kiddish. LoL.. I felt so old and out of place! Anyways, we had lunch, did a little shopping and slacking around. After which they decided to go get their hair cut while I go back to work. =) Took some random pictures during the train ride to work.

Our reflections on the underground train station doors.

Our feet~! LoL.. My idea!!

-----

I baked cookies yesterday. One thing I realised about cookie baking is that, you need to have a BIG oven so you can bake more cookies at one go. I have a medium size oven at home. I can roast chicken, maybe even a smallish turkey.

So I had to bake a total of 7 batches of cookies, which took about 2 hours to finish, thats from scratch till done. I made Macadamia and White Chocolate Cookies, mainly for mom because she likes macadamia nuts. The results were awesome. The cookies were crunchy at the sides, crumbly and chewy in the middle. It was not overly sweet, although I could cut down on the white chocolate next time, so as to have more of the nutty instead of chocolate-y taste.
I EVEN BURNT MYSELF~! First time I ever did that, and gawd.. IT WAS SO PAINFUL!!! Just one tiny burn, and I felt like dying. Hahaha.. Ok, a little exaggeration there. (I have a low threshold for pain.)

Here's the picture I took of my burn. I know it's barely there, but it hurts! So I'm making a big deal out of it, because this is my blog and I can whine as much as I like~! =P

-----

Thats about it I guess. Sorry for such a long post.

Oh oh, I forgot to tell everyone. I got my vaccine for the prevention of Cervical Cancer, aka HPV vaccine today. If anyone is interested in getting it, contact me ok! My workplace has it, and Cervical Cancer is the 2nd leading women disease after Breast cancer (I think...). Anyways, I think it's always good to prevent it. So call me for any enquiries.

Good night everyone~! Have a great week~!

P.S. I can't wait for these next 2 weeks to pass by as quick as possible! SOMEONE IS GONNA BE HERE SOON~!
