PotLuck Party

So the potluck party held at my place came and went. I think it was a success, considering everyone had fun. =) The food was great, company was good, and the entertainment was fun!

Some of the guys could cook, which is a great surprise. Haha.. We're now all getting ready for our X'mas gathering. I love this group of friends, spontaneous and funny. It's always great to hang out with them.

Now, on to the pictures.

The food before

The food after.. =P

People taking turns to eat @ the table

People starting the gig on Wii.

Guitar Hero Band 1

Guitar Hero Band 2

While the band was jamming...

These guys were playing Munchkin.

My yumyum tuna macaroni salad. Pardon the appearance, it tasted better than it looks. =P

The serious game faces on them all.. What are they doing?

Wii Tennis, of course!

Everyone happy and having fun!

So that's about it for the pictures.. It was kind of nice to have friends hanging out at home without spending too much monies. A good thing about having the house to yourselves, you can entertain friends and it's so much quieter.

Plus, it's easier to keep clean, because you dun have too many people messing up the place once you've cleaned and tidied the place. This experience makes me wanna have a place of my own so much. I've made some plans regarding the future. And I'm feeling pretty good about it. =)

I guess that's about it for this post. Have a good week everyone.

=)

Old School...

I just found this blog (or rather someone linked it to me) and I was looking through her song list and omg, all the songs I used to listen to and groove to.. Haha.. She is also named Ivy and my bf was telling how she's a Taiwan version of me..

But she is so much prettier than me.. Heehheee...

I miss the songs in her playlist.. Here are a few of the songs that brings back memories..

Slow Down - Bobby Valentino
Dip it Low - Christina Millian
Gimme That - Chris Brown (btw, he looks so gangsta now with his tattoos.. Hawtness!)
Let Me Hold You - Bow Wow
One Night Stand - Mis-teeq
You Remind Me - Usher
Me & U - Cassie
Always on time - Ja Rue feat Ashanti
etc....

Sigh... Anyone has all these songs in their album? Can I just ninja them off you people?
=P

XOXO!

The Result!

Remember when I said I wanted to make the Chocolate Molten Lava Cake today. I just made it, and it was awesome!

So simple and quick, took me a total of 45 mins to make all 12 of these tiny babies. I ate 2 of them and stored the rest up in the fridge!

Make these if you like chocolate..

Molten Chocolate Lava cake..

Look at the chocolate oozing out... Love.....

That's all!

The Pioneer Woman and her red cake

2 months ago, when I found out that my new blog idol, The Pioneer Woman Cooks, is coming out with a cookbook, I just had to have it. So I said very casually and subtle-ly to my boy: 'Baby! I WANT THAT COOKBOOK FOR CHRISTMAS!'

Ok, so that's not very subtle, or casual. But boy, did he deliver. He got me the cookbook and it's a full month before Christmas. I'm totally loving the book. The pictures are awesome. The food looks really yum. And it's written by PW!

So anyways, there's this recipe for Red Velvet Cake in the dessert section. I've seen it in many other cook blogs and I've never tasted it, but it looks so pretty, and vibrantly red. I seriously am thinking of making it and chronicle it in the chapter of 'My First Times in Life'.

Lol..

But anyways, I won't be making that soon. I need to get some cake tins that are smaller in size because the household are not big fans of cakes. So if I do bake it, I would need to make a SMALL cake.

But I will be making this Molten Chocolate Lava Cake from Tasty Kitchen. I will make this tomorrow, with my muffin tins. I have the ingredients all on hand. I like foolproof recipes that even dummies can make. And PW makes it easier with the step by step pictures.

So anyways, that's about it for today.
Have a good week ahead everyone!

XOXO

Inspiration

I love cooking. For a lazy person like me, it's surprising I like to cook cos cooking can sometimes be tedious and takes up loads of work. But because I like to eat, the interest just grew from there.

I just watched The Julie/Julia Project and it's kind of inspiring. It makes me wanna do something she did. Like a journal through a whole entire cookbook.

Makes me wanna blog more, chronicle more about what's been happening to me. It just annoys me sometimes, when I blog-stalk, that the bloggers dun post as often as the should. i kind of realise how that feels for ppl who read my blog, which I guess is like only a handful (meaning less than 5 ppl).

But still, it would be nice to come to an updated blog once in a while. =)

-----

So anyways, I will be having a small potluck gathering at my place, cause the parents and sibling is out of town! I am so excited, because I like organising small gatherings like these and I like spending time with friends at home. Less expensive and not crowded like when you go out into the city.

So anyways, I learnt how to make chicken curry from my mom yesterday night and that is what I am gonna make this coming saturday night.

We will be playing this card game (Munchkin) and our Wii games (Guitar hero World Tour and 5). I hope it will be a fun night.. Only thing un-fun about the party is gonna be the cleaning up of the house in preparation of the party.. I will need to clean the rooms, the house, the toilet and the kitchen!

Oh well.. A price to pay for having fun! Will be a fun night of food, laughs and booze. Haha..

That's about it.. Have a great week ahead! Christmas soon!
Can't wait!
